The blog has been kind of inactive for a few weeks –been busy –but Roadblock at the Empty Glass gave me something cool to sort of kick it back into gear.
Cut Throat Freakshow is playing the bar Monday night. The show is not listed on their website and Roadblock did not give me an idea of a cover charge. Roadblock says it starts at 10 p.m. and you should bring five bucks to get in. 
Cut Throat Freak Show appeared on “America’s Got Talent” back in the spring and managed to win over Howard Stern and Howie Mandel, but Sharon Osbourne wasn’t impressed, but then she again she lives with a guy who once bit the head off a bat.
Anyway, I’ve got kind of a soft spot for freak shows, burlesque and basically novelty shows. We’re seeing more of these things in Charleston than ever –and I just never get enough of sword swallowing.
